Good evening ladies and gentleman.

I am insane. I have been told that one of my kind would possibly find a few kindred spirits in this clan. I am totally devoid of an e-peen. (I compensate by driving an e-hummer and wearing really tight wife beaters).
And I am excellent company on TS. In fact, if I bring along all of my split personalities it gets quite rowdy!

But I digress...

More about me: I started gaming when I was but a young lad back in 2004ish. My very first online game was Ultima Online, I played on the LoC shard hosted by SGS. That's where I first started using the nick "Moonfire" I know... I know... When that died out I moved to CoD:UO. I joined my very first clan (cBc) when I started playing CoD2. When they died out I was pretty rustig till CoD4 came around. I was at UbS for a few months before there was a massive split there. In 2008 I joined an amazing clan: Borg. I loved it there, I made a bunch of good friends... but sadly it slowly started dying after 2009.

I did play BF3 under the nick "Firesyde" but I sold my account due to personal reasons *cough*hopethatdamnwhoreburnsinhell*cough*. I plan on buying BF4 and playing with a bunch of awesome okes who can handle my insanity and weird sense of humor, but unfortunately I have to settle for applying here. <- that was a joke. <- I'm really bad at picking up women.

I have a disturbingly deep love for coffee and bacon, oh and I'm a junior developer in Stellenbosch.

Why Grrrrrrr: It seems like you guys put a lot of focus into being a family/community, rather than just your average run of the mill clan.

Paul, much like die Skim, I have lurked in the shadows in the gaming community for a very long time. There was a time when I was pretty active on the SGS forums. I've always thought that the Grrr is a bunch of really cool, mature peeps who I'd get along with very well. You guys stand out in the community. I personally couldn't care less about ranking/standing, I do however care a lot about the type of people in the clan I want to join. I don't like drama or politics, I just want to play with a bunch of people that value each other's company more than the number of wins or k/d ratio.

That said, I don't suck at games (much), and winning is always fun.

Cool, although we are predominantly about having fun we also plan to play competitively again this year and depending on the numbers we may even field 2 teams for BF4. What are your thoughts on that? Would you be interested in competitive play or would you prefer to just be a casual player. (There is room for both in the clan)

I love playing clan matches and competitively. I haven't played any of the battlefield games competitively before though, but I think the style of gameplay will suit me a lot better than CoD ever did. (I love teamwork games). It all depends on what is going to happen with my job next year, if all works out I will definitely be interested in competitive play if there is place.

1. If it's a magical forest, right up till I encounter any naked elf tribes. Otherwise, till I encounter a bear, befriend it and take over the world. If it's a forest of midgets, it's a whole other story.

3. No, this is only the third clan I've applied to, the first being UbS and the second Borg. I was invited into my first one.

4. I used to be in the same clan (Borg) as Dryman and Ecko7. I once tried to sell an old mobo to TygerBS over SGS. He never bought it. You bugger. Other than that I've only talked with a few in forum discussions on SGS, this was quite a while ago though.

2. I turn 21 in December, as for my mental age, it varies from the amount of coffee currently in my system and whether it is weekend or not. Although on average I'd say around 27. Most of my friends are in their late twenties or early thirties. Ok Moonshine, you are 21 years old, a junior developer, started playing games 20 years after some of us did, and you have no clue what a hairy blender is. Hang in with the questions, they may seem pointless, but they actually reveal alot about you.

Herewith my questions:

1. Post a picture of your current computer's insides. (Some members suffer from OCD you know)

3. Since you are a programmer, here is a nice challenge for you:

- You can use any programming language you want. (programming languages that I have seen the code for include the following, VBA, VB, Delphi, Pascal, SAS, SQL, JAVA, PHP, Mattlab, you can pick your own favourite language)
- The answer must be calculated and output in plain text format (i.e. I want to see the answers)
- All the answers should be calculated within a matter of 5 minute. (i.e. using nothing but brute force is not recommended)

The above is but a single correct solution, there are more solutions to this problem. Your objective is to write a program that calculates and output all the possible answers within five minutes after pressing the "go" button. As I've mentioned, I have seen this done in a number of different languages and is actually quite fun to get it right. Ps, before some smart arse tells me it depens on how fast the computer is, I wrote a program in excel that calculates all the solutions in less than 100ms using an i3 laptop processor so doing it within 5 minutes is more than doable in any respectable language.

I think that is all my questions for now. Just a note, the above problem has a very beautiful solution.


Ps, regading the general theory of relativity and quantam mechanincs has not been sufficiently linked as yet. The current leading theory they have is something called "M-theory" which is an extension of "String-theory". If you are really interested in this topic, (and not just say so because Tyger is an intimidating individual) I have a couple of great books at home covering each subject of not only the two theories (relativity and quantam mechanics) but also how they attempt to bring the two theories together.

RussianElite: The biggest douche, I won't be able to tell you at this moment. But If I have to guess I'd say Paul, this is a complete guess, but I just get that feeling y'know?

1. That would be either Assault or Support (BF3). I want to provide good support to my teammates, while being effective on the attack. I liked taking C4 with support so I can provide the engineers with some assistance in blowing up tanks. I guess you could say "Jack of All Trades". 5. I've been out of the loop pretty much since 2009-2010. In my opinion while prizes and competition have gotten better, the community has suffered. The community was a lot more tightly knit a few years ago. There would be discussions on SGS without it turning into a massive ego fest (although there were one or two of those) clans would congratulate each other on wins or thank eachother for clannies. So while ESports in SA are growing and healthy, the community is not. Just my 5c.
