Hi Lee, thanks for setting this up. I am very keen to have a wiki environment as I think it have a lot of potential for us to share / keep current a lot of information that is currently being missed on the forum. The reason I suggested it right now is due to the benchmarking thread whereby it will be nice if one could actually add short sections on each one of the benchmarking tools, other users could contribute, etc. One could even go so far as to create benchmark results for each one of the programs mentioned.
From a BF3 perspective, given that one could protect certain pages for viewing you could limit access to only some. This in turn allows us to have various strategies (and updated) on each of the various maps etc.
Any event, I have used Media Wiki before (same as the one that wikipedia runs on) and it worked very well. How that will integrate with the rest of the site is unfortunately outside my realm of expertise but I am sure it is well within the reach of Master Lee's
Thanks again Lee, you are best captain ever!

I am using Media Wiki and integrating it into the forums, so that we use the same login details and usergroups to edit pages.
I'm just having a problem with disabling Magic_Quotes which as it turns out is an issue on the ISP server we sit on, I've got a ticket logged for them to look at it as it is ignoring my .htaccess and php.ini files - something that they need to fix.
It's in and quazi working (just can't edit yet because of the Magic_Quotes issue) http://www.grrr.co.za/wiki so should be all good once I resolve the problem that is preventing page edits.
Almost there. . . .

Lee, thought I'd just let you know.
when I try to add the text to a new wiki page called "Benchmarks" I get the following error:

Your edit has been rejected because your client mangled the punctuation characters in the edit token. The edit has been rejected to prevent corruption of the page text. This sometimes happens when you are using a buggy web-based anonymous proxy service.

Just for the record, I am using FireFox 20.0.1. Perhaps when you are bored one day again you could perhaps you could give the site just one of your stares and I know it will fall in line... ;-)

Yeah, I know - the problem is that our Host "HostingUnlimited" still have done nothing to sort out "PHP MAGIC QUOTES" - I keep chasing them, their support isnt the greatest, but I'm hoping it will get sorted out soon.
**PHP Magic quotes have to be switched off for MediaWiki (currently switched ON)

I opened a ticket with the Hosting Supplier on the 17th 9am....... still nothing done yet and TBH this is quite easy to patch/fix . . . you can understand why we are being nudged into looking around instead of renewing again.

quickly approaching 3 WEEKS and still no word from our Hosting provider, despite my almost daily inquiries as to the progress.

As long as the server is not hosted with Telkom, I'll support any decision you make regarding moving it.
