We struggled a bit last time I played so its time to learn some new tricks:

Tips:

In Diamond Heist you are not allowed to melee or shoot any guards, but you CAN melee the camera's without setting off the alarm.

Bulldozers can be a pain but with the M308 just aim for the face mask and let loose (this breaks the mask and acts as a weakpoint), this works with any gun but I've found the M308 with the rate of fire/accuracy and damage output to be the best option for doing this.

On Greenbridge if the plane misses the first pickup and you're in the middle of an assault wait for the assault to end to redeploy the balloon. As soon as you redeploy the balloon (and not during an assault) make a break for the exit to the bridge (I have never had him miss a second time). Most of the time you can get atleast halfway to the exit before the infinite assault respawn happens.

When being zapped by a tazer it's always recommended to have a reinbeck or locomotive equipped as they greatly increase the chance of hitting the tazer and breaking the stun.

On the level Heat Street push as far up as possible between assault waves making sure to get near the SWAT vehicles. If you do not get up to the SWAT Vehicles the cops will keep respawning from them and make the level more difficult.

Also on Heat Street to the left side of the street (after the second set of SWAT Vehicles on the corner) there is a small courtyard with a stack of boxes. Go in there and there is a secondary alley yo
u can go down which will allow you to easily flank the third group of SWAT vehicles right before the bridge.

You can take captive basic level Security Guards, Bank Guards and Police Officers by hitting them once with melee and then shouting repeatedly. They will handcuff themselves saving you zip ties.

On Bank Heist it's generally best to only send 1 person into the vault after the thermite burns through the floor to fill the bags. The other 3 should generally stay behind the security desk (the room before the Vault) and hold the police off. This allows for some breathing room if things get a little shakey.

On Slaughterhouse I have found some good places to hold out. After entering the Slaughterhouse there is a conveyor belt with a stack of baskets splitting it directly to your left. I found the best place is to hold out on the other side of the wooden baskets. Once you get the gold loaded and the fuel and trap set, hunker down in one of the containers towards the back of the container yard and hold out.

On Diamond Heist if you happen to deactivate all the alarms without getting caught AND open the bank vault on the first try (i.e. the codes actually worked) the drill that you need for the big diamond is back at the area you originally spawned at.

On Panic Room many times you will be asked to "clear the roof! too many law enforcement!" I found the best way to do that is with an M308 and hop on top of the metal units between the tower and the staircase leading down to the INSIDE of the building. This allows you to shoot over and across onto the building to your direct front, where a lot of times the cops are just sitting there and chilling

- Diamond Heist I tend to see a lot of people crouching. It isn't needed you can run, walk, jump and melee to your hearts content. As long as you aren't in the direct frontal cone of the cops they won't see you and many times as long as you're on the other side of a room.

- When someone goes down near a wall or object you can pick them up through said wall or object as long as they're fairly close to it. This helps in that it doesn't expose you to incoming fire.

- On Green Bridge on the far crane across from the building where you bring the guy to get picked up by the place, snipers will randomly spawn. So I generally recommend having somebody with the M308 to easily pick them off. I've had atleast 1 but up to 3 snipers spawn in that spot.

- Slaughterhouse has a total of 8 camera's.
1 on the way down the stairs into the actual Slaughterhouse.

2 on the outside of the small set of rooms directly to your front when you enter the Slaughterhouse.

3 on your way through the building to the gold drop off, but before you exit the building (left at the first garage door, right across from the second garage door and lastly in the small room you enter to exit it should be up and to the left as you exit).

2 being outside before you cross through the fence into the cargo area (1 is to your left above a dumpster and the other to the right of the tire pile where you set the smoke for the helicopter).

- On the level Greenbridge, where the truck meets the boat when making your escape you can either go to the right of the boat (rightside of the bridge). Hop up on the truck's hood and hop over (left side of the bridge) or hop onto the part between the truck and the boat (where they're connected, this recommends hugging the left side).

You can get any law enforcer to surrender if you can do one of two things:
- Do enough damage to them
- Get the drop on them (i.e., sneak up behind them without them noticing)

-> There seems to be a limit on how many Law Enforcers you can take hostage at a time; I've never been able to have more than six hostages in a single player game (including the two that I tie up with zip ties).

- Pressing and holding TAB at the second screen (where you choose your loadout) or even during the game will bring up a screen where you can change your class.

Press 1 for Assault

2 for Sharpshooter

3 for Support

- On Panic Room I found the best place to set Trip Mines is the fire escape leading up to the roof (put them between the roof and the 5th floor section).

- Try to always unlock medic bag ASAP and make sure to generally run 2 medic bags and 2 ammo bags.

- Extra zip ties is useless, for the most part. Run with Thick Skin until you get the hang of the game then switch to Extra Start Out Ammo.

- If the Bank Manager on the Bank level is nowhere to be found he is most likely in his office on the second floor in one of the rooms near where you pick up the drill and thermite.

General Advice:

- Always take hostages as early as possible. Police do not free them and it is always useful to capture your 2 hostages as it means the team has two extra lives each.

- Do not blindly fire if you think there is a civilian nearby.

- You will generally want 2 Medic Bags and 2 Ammo Bags but some stages like the Bank and Panic Room don't need that many bags. In that case it is worth it if one or two person switches a bag to Laser Mines

- The Reinbeck Shotgun has a very realistic range meaning it's useful at all ranges you will be fighting at in this game.

- The Reinbeck, M308 and Magnum are all very good for taking down Bulldozers as long as you aim for the face.

- Shields can take multiple shotgun shots to the back even at very close range.

- Tasers have a short range so it is often a good idea to stay away from them. They also sometimes fall but don't die. It is always worth shooting them until you are certain they won't get back up.

- A headshot will one shot kill a Taser or Cloaker at any range

- C4 does not damage you so you can stand by it

First World Bank:

- It sounds obvious but you should have the following roles assigned:
- 1 person finds the manager and gets the drill and one thermite
- 1 person takes the second thermite while shooting cameras
- 2 Camera shooters

- You only need one person to hack the computer. Everyone else should protect the drill area. Remember that only one person needs to repair it.

- In the Vault you want to hold the desk while the thermite is placed. You then want the following:
- 1 Medic Bag and 1 Ammo Bag behind the desk
- 2 people covering the entrance
- 2 people covering the lifts

- When the vault roof is melted, only one person needs to go to the vault. It should be one of the people covering the entrance.

- The C4 does no damage to you, you can stand right by it.

Panic Room

- The areas the cash spawns in is random.

- If you want the achivement for quickly finding the key, you want only one person to talk to the drug dealer while the team spreads out.

- The Reinbeck shotgun can easily hit all of the snipers on the roof.

- You want 2 people on each floor. One person to repair the saws and the other to protect them.

- Agree before the level for which floors someone places C4 to make it go more quickly.

- The magnet does not attach faster if more than one person attaches it, only one should attach it while the other party members protect him.

- Laser mines should be put on the emergency stairs because you can't defend them because of snipers. The inside stairs make very good choke points and are a safe place to defend during assaults.

Diamond Heist

- Crouching on Diamond Heist is useful for breaking line of sight. I know it sounds obvious but the AI can't see though objects that can't be shot through. Obviously if the AI has already spotted you it doesn't matter.

- If all players are good at sneaking it is worth splitting up to make disabling the alarm boxes faster

- It is very easy to be surrounded in assaults and there are no safe places to hide like in Bank, Panic Room or Slaughterhouse. It is sometimes worth it to keep moving to avoid being surrounded.

- The Reinbeck shotgun can easily hit people from the roof to the bottom floor. It can also hit people

- The bonus vault appears at random. I have seen it appear when the team was spotted and had to take hostages to get codes and I have seen it not there when the mission was perfect.

Nice tips there Geth. The game is bloody difficualt, so every little helps.

Interesting that you can hit the snipers with a shotgun, wouldn't have thought that they'd have the range.
