Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand in December.
It's almost here and DICE have promised extra destruction (more stuff comes a crashing down WOOT!), a bunch of classic battlefield 2 weaponry and vehicles. The best part of this particular expansion is that unlocks and extra weapons are usable in the standard BF3 non-expansion game. I really like this idea and I hope it carries through if/when they make further expainsions (I'm imagining using a grapnel hook from a special forces expansion to get up on that roof above [B] on Noshahr Canals for a few Nekerchief knife kills) since they are likely to add more depth and variety to the game rather than detract from it.
It remains to be seen just how well (or poorly – though I doubt that will happen) the classic maps will play and feel, especially with their pedigree and undeniable reputation of being some of the best battlefield maps ever created. So “HOOHA!” for an early (hopefully) December release and much pwnage, if only they’d bring back squad VOIP then we’d be living the dream.

Dragonne: I'm having horrible issues
Dragonne: And I'm not smart enough to figure out why
TygerBS: whats the issue
Dragonne: On the one hub, I'm being kicked - "Nickname cannot be used on this hub"
Dragonne: I assume that I've been banned off for some reason
Dragonne: On the other hub, the connection keeps terminating
TygerBS: both sounds like rights problems
Dragonne: Ja, but the message on the other one is quite different
Dragonne: Last message I get before termination: Welcome Dragonne, speedX's IP2Area 2.0 is enabled. RightClick for menu.
Dragonne: Then it terminates
TygerBS: aaah well its looking for a specific ip range i think
Dragonne: Fuck I'm a total n00b when it comes to this stuff
Dragonne: I haven't got a clue what to do to fix it
TygerBS: well if it wants a specific ip range not much you can do besides spoofing your ip with a an ip spoof service
Dragonne: I need Murgs to have a look TBH. He's the guru of the WUG
